STEVE HILL LEAVES BROWNSVILLE

Date: Tue, 11 Apr 2000

Steve Hill, the evangelist God used to start the Pensacola Outpouring on Father's Day 1995, will leave the Brownsville Assemblies of God. He will be moving to Dallas to live near a major international airport. "The Lord is opening doors for us to reach multitudes with the gospel through church crusades, the Awake America meetings and overseas evangelistic campaigns," says Hill. "Everywhere we go, thousands are running to the cross in repentance. The harvest is so ripe. Oftentimes, I feel so frustrated at reaching thousands when there are billions of people who still don't know Jesus. Our crusade calendar is packed, and we believe that it is necessary to live near an airport that is more conducive to stateside and international travel. Also, we feel that moving to a larger, metropolitan city would enable us to pursue the television programming that will help to further spread the gospel. We plan on broadcasting to both the Christian and secular audience."

In spite of many rumors, there has been no split in relationships between Brownsville and Steve Hill.
